1935

Born Budapest, Hungary

1949-55

Studied stage design, murals, frescoes and mosaic techniques at the Academy of Applied Art, moving in 1955 to the Institute of Fine Arts to paint.

1956

Fled to England after the Hungarian Revolution.

1957

Studied printmaking at Camberwell School of Art, London.

1958-60

Wins Gulbenkian Scholarship and moves to Paris to study at the Ecoles des Beaux Arts, the Sorbonne and etching under S W Hayter at Atelier 17.

1960-61

Sets up print workshop in Fulham with her husband, the painter and designer Gabor Sitkey. Begins teaching at Camberwell and Maidstone Colleges

1963

Britische Graphische Scene, Orell Fussli Buchhandlung, Zurich selected and organised by The Print Centre, London (Editions Alecto).

1965

Solo show at Curwen Gallery, London. Founder member of Printmakers' Council, and later editor of the PMC Magazine.

1966-67

Churchill Fellowship to travel and work in USA and Mexico. Begins to teach at Goldsmith's College of Art.

1967

Exhibition at the Ben Uri Gallery, London

1968

Solo show at Philadelphia Print Club.

1974

Line in Space by Agathe Sorel, Camden Arts Centre.

1975

Solo show at Oxford University Press.

1978

Solo show at Robertson Galleries, Ottawa

1980

Solo show at the Comsky Gallery, Los Angeles

1981-83

Chairman of the Printmakers' Council
